A well-balanced recovery drink can help replenish electrolytes, provide protein for muscle repair, and restore energy after physical activity. Here's a simple recipe for a homemade sports recovery drink:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut water (natural source of electrolytes)

  • 1 scoop whey protein powder (or plant-based protein if preferred)

  • 1 ripe banana (a good source of potassium and carbohydrates)

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (for protein and probiotics)

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (natural sweeteners for energy)

  • A pinch of sea salt (to replenish sodium lost through sweat)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

  • Water (to adjust consistency)

Instructions:

  1. In a blender, combine the coconut water, protein powder, banana, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt.

  2. Blend the ingredients until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a splash of water to reach your desired consistency.
